It asks you to put one thing down. Just one. Which, by February, is about all any of us has the energy for anyway.

When the Snow Moon rises in 2027
The Snow Moon peaks on Saturday, February 20, 2027, at 5:23 p.m. Alberta time (6:23 p.m. Eastern). That's just before it clears the horizon here, so go out after dark on the 20th, around 7 p.m., and look east. The 19th and 21st read as full too.
Two extras this year. There's a penumbral lunar eclipse at 5:13 p.m. Alberta time, but it's over for practical purposes before the moon rises in Alberta, and penumbral eclipses are only a faint grey shading at best. Don't set an alarm. And a few broader lists call this one a supermoon. It's close, but January's Wolf Moon is the big one.
Why it's called the Snow Moon
Snow Moon is the traditional North American name for February's full moon, for the plain reason that February is when the snow tends to pile deepest. Some traditions called it the Hunger Moon instead, because by late winter the stores were running low. Both names describe the same thing: the stretch of the year where you're not growing anything, you're getting through.
That's not a failure. It's a season. Not every month is meant for blooming, and the Snow Moon is the one that says so out loud.
Snow Moon in Virgo: what this one is asking

A five-minute Snow Moon ritual
