I named this line Tropical Aura for the way the green glows — like sun through seawater. This one hangs a little starfish and a tiny shell locket together, the whole beach in one necklace for the days you need to remember the ocean exists.

Tropical Aura is my name for this glowing seafoam-green stone, named for the way it lights up like an aura. The stone itself is custom color-treated hydro quartz — lab-grown quartz given a permanent colour finish in my own tropical green. (It's not natural aura quartz, which I also carry; this is lab-grown quartz given a permanent colour finish.) Light, luminous, and made to catch the sun.

How to store it (where most damage is actually prevented)
- Sterling silver: airtight — a zip bag or a box with an anti-tarnish strip. Air is what darkens it.
- Gold-plated & faceted glass: a soft pouch each, stored separately so harder pieces don't scratch the finish.
- Pearls: laid flat, never hung — the silk thread stretches over time.
- Necklaces: hung or laid flat so chains don't knot.
- The rule for everything: dry, and apart.
Traveling with jewelry
Give each piece its own pouch, thread delicate necklaces through a small bag or straw so they can't tangle, and keep studs in a hard case so nothing bends. A tangle-free arrival is worth the two extra minutes.
