Why shop by element at all
Because it's the fastest honest way to choose. Most people arriving here don't know which stone they want — they know how they feel and what they'd like more of. The four elements are the oldest sorting system we have for exactly that, running from Greek philosophy through astrology, tarot, Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine with only cosmetic differences.
You don't have to believe any of it for the system to be useful. Grounding, clarity, courage, calm — those are four real states, and this is a shortcut to the stones associated with each.
The four, and their stones
- Earth — grounding. Black tourmaline, hematite, smoky quartz, jasper, moss agate. Dark, heavy, opaque. For weeks where you feel like you're floating an inch above your own life.
- Air — clarity. Clear quartz, amethyst, labradorite, fluorite, blue lace agate. Transparent and pale. For thinking straight and saying the thing.
- Fire — courage. Carnelian, citrine, garnet, tiger eye, sunstone. Red, orange, gold. For starting, asking, or finally sending it.
- Water — calm. Moonstone, aquamarine, amazonite, larimar, pearl. Blue, white, milky. For the nervous system rather than the to-do list.
Layering elements
Combining them is normal and there's no conflict to worry about — the classical pairing logic is that Earth steadies Fire and Air moves Water, but in practice most people just wear the two things they need. A grounding bracelet on one wrist and a calming one on the other is the most common combination in this collection by a wide margin.
If you'd rather sort by energy centre than by element, the chakra collection covers the same catalogue from a different angle.
What you're buying
Sterling silver, gold plate over base metal, or beaded stretch pieces — stated on each listing. Stones are genuine unless a listing names them as dyed, treated or lab-grown, and where that applies we say so rather than letting you find out later.
Hardness varies enormously across this collection. Quartz-family stones handle daily wear; moonstone, larimar and fluorite are softer and will scratch. Selenite dissolves in water and should never be cleansed under a tap. Our crystal care guide lists which stones tolerate what.

Common questions
How do I know which element I need?
Pick the state you're short on rather than the one you identify with. Floating and scattered → Earth. Foggy → Air. Stalled → Fire. Wired → Water.
Is this the same as my astrological element?
Related but not identical. Your sun sign has a fixed element; this collection sorts by what you want more of today, which changes.
Can I wear more than one element?
Yes. Earth with Water, or Fire with Air, are the two most common pairings and neither cancels the other out.
Which element is best for anxiety?
Most people reach for Water for calm or Earth for grounding. These are supportive practices, not treatment — if anxiety is affecting your daily life, that's a conversation for a doctor, not a bracelet.
Can I clean all of these the same way?
No, and this is where pieces get ruined. Selenite dissolves in water, larimar and fluorite scratch easily, and porous stones absorb oils. Check the care guide for the specific stone.
Are the stones genuine?
Yes, unless a listing states dyed, treated or lab-grown — and several do. Dyed howlite and magnesite are widespread in this category; ours are named correctly.
