I've thought a lot about what happens to an animal's nervous system before they find their home. The shelter. The uncertainty. The waiting to see if this car ride ends somewhere permanent. They carry what happened to them the way we all do — in their body, in their habits, in the way they sleep on the edge of the bed just in case they need to move fast.
Crystal work is about intention. About choosing what energy you want to hold and what you want to help release. When I started building this collection, I worked backward from what each animal might need most — protection, safety, grounding, love — and built every piece around one of those. The symbol or the stones. And the matching piece for you, so you're both carrying the same intention.
Because here's the thing: your dog already knows what you're feeling. They've always known. This just makes it intentional.
My dog Roxy is the reason this collection exists at all. She's the one who taught me what rescue energy actually looks like up close — the slow softening, the trust that builds in inches, the way an animal who once braced for the worst eventually learns to nap in a sunbeam. All three are beaded by hand in Calgary, by Kelly and me, with genuine natural stones. No plastic filler. No imitation crystal. The real thing, worn by the real animal. They're made to order, $45 each.

How to Choose
Start with what your animal needs most right now. Then decide whether it lives on the collar, on the two of you, or both.
Newly adopted, still adjusting: The Guided Path, or the A Clear Path collar if you'd rather the stones sit on them. Grounding first. Everything else is built on it.

I'm a rescue mom. There's nothing theoretical about this collection for me. It came from her.
Rescue is run by volunteers who do the hardest, most necessary work there is: pulling animals from shelters before time runs out, fostering them in real homes while they decompress, and matching them with families who will see them all the way through. They run on donations. Every dollar matters.

FAQ — Crystals & Paws Collection
Can my dog wear a beaded collar all the time?
No — and that's on purpose. The beaded collars are for supervised wear: walks, photos, visits. They come in four sizes for small to large breeds with secure metal hardware, and the cat XS uses a breakaway clasp that releases under tension. Keep ID tags on an everyday collar, and take the beaded one off for swimming, baths, chewing and unsupervised afternoons. What's the difference between the matching sets and the collars?
A matching set is two pieces: a small charm that clips to your animal's existing collar, and the matching piece for you. The Shield and The Safe Hold are 925 sterling silver with enamel. The Guided Path pairs hematite and clear quartz with a sterling feather. The collars are a whole beaded collar of genuine stones, handmade in Calgary and made to order. Charms suit an everyday collar; beaded collars are for supervised wear.
How does the 25% donation to animal rescue work?
25% of the sale price of every Crystals & Paws piece goes to animal rescue. Every piece in the Crystals & Paws collection is marked; animal pieces elsewhere in the shop are not. Donations are tracked and sent on a regular schedule. No vague "portion of proceeds" language — a real number, tracked, and the records are kept.
Can I buy the matching piece if I don't have a dog?
Yes. The owner necklace, pendant and earrings in The Shield and The Safe Hold are each sold on their own, and The Guided Path has an owner charm and an owner pendant. Plenty of people buy them to honour a dog they've lost, to support rescue without owning a pet, or because the symbol speaks to them.
Which pieces have real gemstones?
The beaded collars and The Guided Path set use genuine natural stones — amethyst, rose quartz, clear quartz and hematite. No glass beads, no plastic filler. The Shield and The Safe Hold are symbol charms rather than crystal pieces: blue enamel on 925 sterling silver, with no gemstone. Each listing names exactly what's in it.
Can I get a custom piece for a specific need?
Sometimes — depending on the timing and the request. For seizure dogs, anxious cats, end-of-life companions, or specific situations the existing sets and collars don't cover, reach out via email or DM and I'll see what's possible. The collection was built to cover the most common rescue and bonding situations, but the collars are made by hand and there's room for one-off custom pieces when the energy calls for it.
