Capri came from the Ionian. Aqua came from the Pacific — the warm, lit-from-within blue of Hawaii and the South Pacific. Same stone, same shapes, different ocean.
I learned to dive in Australia. I found my way through the Cook Islands on my own, which at the time struck me as perfectly reasonable. And then for about twelve years running I got to Oahu once a year. Twelve years of the same water in the same light.
Capri is the deep part, past the shelf, in full sun. Aqua is the shallow warm water over the sand — lighter, softer, the blue you can stand in. I wanted both, so I made both.
