Your dog already knows how to carry the energy you're still learning to wear. They absorb everything — the room you're in, the weight you're walking with, the grief you haven't named yet. They've always known. This collection is just making it mutual.
Crystals & Paws started as a question I kept coming back to while packing orders: what would I put on a rescue animal who needed to feel protected? Grounded? Loved? And what would I wear on my wrist to say I'm holding that intention with them?
The answer became six matching sets, two handmade gemstone collars, and a human necklace — each built around a single energy, carried on both ends of the leash. Twenty-five percent of every sale goes to Boxer Rescue Canada. Not as a footnote. As the point.

The Energy a Rescue Animal Carries
I've thought a lot about what happens to an animal's nervous system before they find their home. The shelter. The uncertainty. The waiting to see if this car ride ends somewhere permanent. They carry what happened to them the way we all do — in their body, in their habits, in the way they sleep on the edge of the bed just in case they need to move fast.
Crystal work is about intention. About choosing what energy you want to hold and what you want to help release. When I started building this collection, I worked backward from the energy each animal might need most — protection, rest, love, loyalty, grounding, safety — and built every set around that. The stones. The charms. And the matching piece for your wrist, so you're both carrying the same frequency.
Because here's the thing: your dog already knows what you're feeling. They've always known. This just makes it intentional.
My boxer Roxy is the reason this collection exists at all. She's the one who taught me what rescue energy actually looks like up close — the slow softening, the trust that builds in inches, the way an animal who once braced for the worst eventually learns to nap in a sunbeam. Every set in this collection was built with her in mind, and with the boxers still waiting at Boxer Rescue Canada who haven't found their humans yet.
The Matching Sets — Same Intention, Both Ends of the Leash
Each set comes in two versions: a Cuddler version in gold-plated sterling silver for the home-dwellers, and an Active version in 316L stainless steel for the trail-runners and water-lovers. Same energy. Different life.
The Shield — Protection & Boundary
Black onyx. Hematite. An ornate evil eye. Three layers of protection worn as a shared boundary. The onyx grounds. The hematite anchors. The evil eye says, clearly: not everything gets through here.
For the rescue animal who spent too long in situations they didn't choose — and the human who chose them back. For the deeper symbolism woven into this set, the Evil Eye Protection guide goes deep on what the layers mean.
"Not everything is welcome here."
The Night Calm — Rest & Safety
Amethyst. Clear quartz. A crescent moon. For the anxious dog and the human who stays up listening to them breathe. For the evenings when it's finally just the two of you and the exhale is slow and real.
The Cuddler version adds a Moon tarot card charm, a faceted amethyst, and a rose quartz flower with butterflies — the full symbolism of rest, intuition, and the wisdom that surfaces when you stop bracing. Both pieces carry the same message: the night is safe. You can both rest now.
"We soften into safety."
The Heart Bond — Unconditional Love
Rose quartz. A quartz star. The energy of love that shows up every single time without being asked. The Cuddler version features a genuine faceted rose quartz heart in sterling silver — warm, blush-toned, cut to catch light the way that kind of love does. The Active version carries a hammered compass star and rose quartz sphere in stainless steel — the love that goes on the trail and doesn't stay home.
Same intention on both ends of the leash.
"You are loved, always."

The Pack Guard — Loyalty & Protection
Tiger's eye. Black onyx. A wolf. For the pack of two that moves as one. Tiger's eye for confidence and decisive action. Onyx for the grounded protection that holds everything steady. The wolf for the ancient intelligence of moving together, protecting your own, never leaving anyone behind.
For the rescue advocates. The trail runners. Anyone whose dog is not a pet but a partner.
"We move as one."
The Safe Hold — Comfort & Protection
Amethyst. Rose quartz. A hamsa. For the foster parents. For the ones who chose an animal who needed choosing. The hamsa holds the door open. The amethyst carries the calm needed to hold space when it's hard. The rose quartz holds the love that makes it worth it.
For the first nights home. The foster-to-adopt moments. The bond that started with a second chance. For the deeper meaning of the hamsa symbol, the Hamsa Hand guide covers the full tradition.
"You are safe in my care."
The Guided Path — Grounding & Guidance
Hematite. Clear quartz. A feather. For the steady ones and the uncertain middles. Hematite for presence — the quiet confidence of knowing where you stand. Clear quartz for the clarity that follows once you stop rushing. A feather for the reminder that the path is already there; you just have to trust it enough to take the next step.
Hematite is one of the stones I reach for most. It's not flashy. It just holds. For a rescue animal still learning that safe is permanent, that grounding energy is everything.
"Step by step, we find our way."
The Collars — Worn Close to the Body, Every Day
The matching sets put intention on both ends of the leash. The collars take it one step further — worn directly on your animal's body, close to their chest, every day. Not just when you remember.
Both are handmade and beaded with genuine natural stones. No plastic filler. No imitation crystal. The real thing, worn by the real animal.
An Open Heart — Rose Quartz & Starfish Collar
Genuine rose quartz and clear quartz, anchored by three gold starfish at centre front. The energy of warmth and open-hearted love, worn daily. Available in four sizes for dogs, XS with a breakaway safety clasp for cats.
Roxy wears hers most days. The pink catches the light differently than I expected — softer, less performative, more like she's wearing her own quiet welcome.
"This one is loved. This one has a home. This one matters."
A Clear Path — Hematite & Feather Collar
Genuine 8mm hematite and clear quartz, with a gold feather charm centred at the front. The grounding energy of The Guided Path, worn daily as a reminder of how far they've already come. For the rescue dog still learning that safe is permanent. For the cat who came from somewhere uncertain.
"That part is done. This is the clear path."
An Open Heart — The Human Necklace
For the human carrying all of this love on the other end of the leash. A handmade beaded necklace — genuine rose quartz, clear quartz catching whatever light you give it, and three gold starfish at centre. Made to order in your choice of length. No two exactly alike, because that's the nature of real things.

How to Choose the Right Set
Start with energy, not aesthetics. What does your animal need most right now?
Newly adopted, still adjusting: The Guided Path or The Safe Hold. Both carry the foundation energy — grounding and safety — that everything else is built on.
Anxious at night or in new situations: The Night Calm. Amethyst is the most calming stone in the collection, paired with clear quartz to gently amplify the rest energy. Best for evening wear and any situation where your dog gets activated.
Coming out of a hard chapter (rescue, surgery recovery, loss of a companion animal): The Shield. Black onyx and hematite are the most grounding combination available, and the evil eye carries millennia of protection symbolism. For animals who need a clear "no more" energetic boundary.
The active partner, the trail dog, the one who works alongside you: The Pack Guard. Tiger's eye holds steady confidence; the wolf charm honors the partnership. Built for the dogs who don't stay home.
The settled one, the loved one, the long-term family member: The Heart Bond or the An Open Heart collar. The pure love stones — rose quartz at the centre, no need for protection or grounding. Just the celebration of the bond itself.
For Mother's Day, adoption anniversaries, or Gotcha Day gifts: Any matching set works, but The Heart Bond and An Open Heart are the most popular gifting choices. The matching format means the gift recipient knows the giver thought about the bond — not just the human, not just the animal, but both as one unit.
The Mission — Why 25% Goes to Boxer Rescue Canada
I'm a boxer mom. Roxy is the one who taught me what rescue energy actually looks like — the slow softening, the trust that builds in inches, the way an animal who once braced for the worst eventually learns to nap in a sunbeam. There's nothing theoretical about this collection for me. It came from her.
Boxer Rescue Canada is a non-profit organization run by volunteers who do the hardest, most necessary work: pulling boxers from shelters before time runs out, fostering them in real homes while they decompress, and matching them with families who will see them all the way through. They run on donations. Every dollar matters.
Twenty-five percent of every Crystals & Paws sale goes directly to them. Not "a portion." Not "supports rescue causes." A specific quarter of every order, going to a specific organization that pulls specific dogs out of specific shelters. That's the deal. That's the point.
If you'd like to support them directly without buying jewelry, donations through their website go just as far. But if you're looking for jewelry anyway, this is the way to make it count twice — for the bond you have at home, and for the boxers still waiting to find theirs.
You can also follow Roxy and the rescues on the Mystic Soul Jewelry Instagram, where Crystal Paws stories run weekly.

FAQ — Crystals & Paws Collection
Are the gemstone collars safe for daily wear?
Yes. The dog collars are sized in four widths to fit small to large breeds, with secure metal hardware. The cat XS version uses a breakaway safety clasp that releases under tension — standard practice for cat collars to prevent injury if the collar catches on something. The stones are real beaded gemstones (no plastic filler), strung on durable cord that handles daily wear, including walks. Remove for swimming or baths to extend the life of the metal hardware.
What's the difference between the Cuddler and Active versions of the matching sets?
The Cuddler version is gold-plated sterling silver, designed for everyday wear at home, on walks, and during gentle activity. Best for dogs and humans whose lives don't involve constant water, mud, or extreme conditions. The Active version is 316L stainless steel — fully waterproof, scratch-resistant, and built for trail running, swimming, agility training, and dogs who don't slow down. Both versions carry the same crystals and the same intention. The difference is in the metal's durability, not the energy.
How does the 25% donation to Boxer Rescue Canada work?
Twenty-five percent of every Crystal Paws sale — calculated on the product price, not after discounts or shipping — goes directly to Boxer Rescue Canada. Donations are tracked monthly and sent to the rescue organization on a regular schedule. There's no marketing fluff or vague "portion of proceeds" language — a specific quarter of every order, going to a specific rescue. If you'd like documentation of the donation tracking, reach out and I'll share what I can.
Can I buy the matching set if I don't have a dog?
Yes. The human-end pieces (bracelets, necklaces, charm sets) are full-strength jewelry on their own — they carry the same crystal intention whether or not there's a dog at the other end. Many people buy them to honor a dog they've lost, to support rescue work without owning a pet, or simply because the energy speaks to them. The Heart Bond, The Night Calm, and The Guided Path all work as standalone pieces.
Are the gemstones real?
Yes. Every stone in the Crystals & Paws collection is a genuine natural gemstone — black onyx, hematite, amethyst, clear quartz, rose quartz, tiger's eye. No glass beads, no synthetic substitutes, no mislabelled materials. The collars use 8mm beaded stones strung in proper jewelry-grade cord. The matching set bracelets and charms feature faceted and polished stones in sterling silver or stainless steel settings.
Can I get a custom matching set for a specific need?
Sometimes — depending on the timing and the request. For seizure dogs, anxious cats, end-of-life companions, or specific situations not covered by the six existing sets, reach out via email or DM and I'll see what's possible. The collection was built to cover the most common rescue and bonding situations, but I make these by hand and there's room for one-off custom pieces when the energy calls for it.
Is Crystal Paws a good Mother's Day gift?
It's one of the most personal Mother's Day gifts available for the dog moms in your life. The matching format honors the specific bond between her and her dog — not generic "mom gift" energy, but the particular love that lives between her and her rescue. The Heart Bond, An Open Heart necklace, and any of the gemstone collars are popular Mother's Day choices. Mother's Day 2026 falls on Sunday, May 10 — order by early May to ensure delivery in time.
