This is the original Bones mask necklace worn on the TV series Bones — designed and handcrafted by me under my studio name Andrea Kelly Designs (now Mystic Soul Jewelry).

From the moment I finished this design, I had a feeling it belonged on Bones. I shipped it to the costume team with that quiet knowing in my chest… and then waited. In the opening scene where it finally appeared, I watched the mask pendant move from left to right on screen — such a tiny detail, but to me it felt like a mischievous little nod from the universe. I’ve always found masks to be playful, mysterious, and a bit trickster-like, and seeing it move that way felt like my own private wink from the show.

These aren’t “inspired by” TV looks — they are my original designs that were actually worn on screen. I began as Jewelry by Andrea, spent over 12 years creating as Andrea Kelly Designs, and today you know my work as Mystic Soul Jewelry. Through every name, it has always been me at the bench, designing and handcrafting each piece.

I created these TV pieces in my studio and sent them to costume teams with nothing but hope. The first time I saw my jewelry on TV — moving from an idea in my mind, to metal and stone in my hands, and then onto beloved characters — I was completely over the moon. I had no idea the matching Bones mask necklace and green agate earrings would even be used, let alone air in the same season as my Vampire Diaries pieces.
