This is lab-created black rutilated quartz. Real quartz with the dark threads formed inside the crystal as it grows rather than mined. On a single 10mm round there's nowhere for a weak pattern to hide, so I want the dense, dramatic threading every time — lab-grown gives me that. Here's exactly how it's made.
