100% volunteer based with all adoption fees are put back into the rescue to help more dogs. We partner with other reputable rescues working as a team for the greater good of the dogs, specializing in helping dogs that are in danger of abuse or neglect. We are dedicated to rescuing any dogs in distress no matter the location, age, breed, or ease of placement.

Founded in 1998 as a no-kill shelter, Misty Creek Dog Rescue is one of many volunteer-run shelters in Western Canada shouldering the burden of the thousands of animals who are abandoned, abused or surrendered every year.

For over two decades, we've dedicated ourselves to giving senior and surrendered boxers a second chance at happiness, carefully matching these loving souls with their perfect forever homes. Our rescue focuses on older boxers who bring a wealth of love and experience, making sure each adoption is thoughtfully planned to be their final, forever placement.
